Our students of the HELIOS project, together with other adult students of METAdrasi, enjoyed a “journey” to the ancient Greek civilization, while visiting the National Archaeological Museum of Athens.

The students were fascinated by the unique artifacts and significant exhibits showcasing the evolution of ancient Greek civilization from prehistory to late antiquity. They enthusiastically asked questions about the different techniques and styles used in each era, eager to learn more.

New knowledge, experiences, and fond memories accompanied the young students, after leaving the museum. They took pictures to remember their visit and wholeheartedly enjoyed this interesting and constructive interaction with ancient Greek culture.

METAdrasi is a key partner of IOM Greece for the implementation of the HELIOS project in Athens. The HELIOS project aims to support beneficiaries of international protection to integrate into Greek society offering a variety of services promoting independent living including rental subsidies, integration courses and employability support. The project as of January 1st 2022 is funded through the co-financed part of the Public Investment Programme of the Ministry of Migration and Asylum.

The adult courses are implemented by METAdrasi with funding from the “Captain Vassilis and Carmen Konstantakopoulos” Foundation and the valuable support of volunteers.
