The students of the Integration Learning Center that METAdrasi operates within the framework of the HELIOS project, had the opportunity to get to know better the history and culture of Greece, as they visited the Acropolis Museum.
A team of archaeologists accompanied our students during the specially designed tour, while thanks to the valuable assistance of our interpreters, they were given the opportunity to discuss and ask questions to the archaeologists.
Our students came into contact with statues, pediments, studied the miniatures of the Parthenon and the Temple of Athene, while they also got familiar with various aspects of ancient Greek culture, such as the customs and traditions of the marriage ceremony, the twelve ancient Greek gods, as well as the science of medicine.
We were moved to see how the history, art and ideals of the Greek civilization brought together people with different cultural backgrounds, experiences and beliefs. It was a visit full of feelings of admiration and surprise at the vastness and potential of humanity, which will remain unforgettable.
