Drawing Hope

28.11.2016

On Saturday 19/11/2016 we spent, along with our volunteers, a special day at Technopolis, in the context of the closing event of the Program “We are all Citizens“, that Bodossaki Foundation prepared with particular care.

We met all of you who visited our exhibition to see the drawings of unaccompanied children and discuss the stories behind these drawings.

We were moved by the interest shown from young and old visitors and the enthusiasm with which you made cards for unaccompanied children, with messages of hope and solidarity.

We were delighted to have the company of some of the unaccompanied children from our accommodation facility in Athens, together with members of METAdrasi’s Guardianship Network who accompanied them. The children felt proud seeing their works being exhibited, were impressed from the collage of the lovely cards made for them and, in their turn, made their own cards to say thank you.

We gathered more than 100 beautiful cards, which will soon be given to unaccompanied children we support throughout Greece: in Athens, Thessaloniki, Lesvos, Samos, Chios, Kos, Leros, Ioannina.

We thank you all from our heart. Stay tuned for the continuance of the action!
