The girls of METAdrasi’s Accommodation Centre for Unaccompanied Minors in Samos enjoyed an inspiring stroll in history during their visit to the castle of Lykourgos Logothetis, a national hero of the 1821 Revolution, located in Pythagorion.

Exploring the tower that has been standing strong for centuries gazing at the Aegean Sea, was a great opportunity for the girls to learn more about the Byzantine past of Samos and the struggles of its people. The young visitors were thrilled by the vivid narratives and guided tour through the castle’s rooms and exhibits, which is one of the island’s most significant historical landmarks.

METAdrasi’s Accommodation Facility for Unaccompanied Minors in Samos operates since August 2023 with the support of the Migration and Home Affairs Funds (TAMEY), co-funded by the European Union.
