Kathimerini’s article on Guardianship

01.10.2018

Metadrasi - kathimerini article aThe role of the Civil Society Organisations is not to replace the state, but to cover essential gaps and to pave the way with innovative activities, such as that of Guardiaship.

We would like to note that METAdrasi has not suspended the Guardianship activity, but keeps supporting over 1,000 unaccompanied children throughout Greece. Nevertheless, METAdrasi has initiated the gradual decrease of the activity, giving priority to protecting the most vulnerable cases, hoping that by the end of 2018 the unaccompanied children in the mainland will receive the indispensable support by the new state authority (EKKA – National Center for Social Solidarity).
