Article in “Makedonia” newspaper: Thessaloniki families open their arms to unaccompanied children

Metadrasi - MakedoniaHow does “the journey of fostering, but mostly of love” begin?
Residents of Thessaloniki come to METAdrasi’s informational meetings and express their interest in becoming foster parents of unaccompanied children. They open their homes, their arms. Parents and children communicate harmoniously, even if they do not speak the same language. “If you have a good contact, a good aura, a good intention, all the problems are overcome”, says a member of our team. The impressive results so far prove it!

You may read in Greek the full article of “Makedonia” newspaper, here.

You may apply for participation to the informational meetings, held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month, 16:00-17:00, at METAdrasi’s office in Thessaloniki (Vilara 7, 2nd floor).

The activity is supported by UNHCR, with co-funding by the European Commission.
