METAdrasi is seeking to hire a new member to join its Fundraising Department. The selected individual will participate in all activities related to sourcing new funding from institutional donors (EU, UN, bilateral donors), foundations and individuals, developing and submitting funding proposals, monitoring the implementation of existing projects and drafting evaluation reports for the donors.
Responsibilities:
• participate in the design and implementation of the Organization’s fundraising strategy
• design, draft and submit funding proposals to various EU funds
• monitoring the implementation process of different projects, drafting evaluation reports and leasing with donors, partners and individual supporters
• close cooperation with other relevant departments within the Organization, development of new project ideas and engagement in promotion and visibility activities
• design and development of communication activities aiming to attract support and financial aid for the Organization
Skills and competences:
• higher education degree in areas related to this job position (Political Science, Law, Social Science or Economics)
• three years of previous experience in a similar position, preferably with an NGO, charitable foundation, or non-profit organization
• proven experience in writing and submitting funding proposals for EU funds and in drafting evaluation reports
• professional fluency in English, both written and oral
• highly developed communication skills, with emphasis on presenting in front of an audience, both in Greek and in English
• ability to create and develop interpersonal relations within a multi-cultural environment
• excellent use of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and the internet
• team player, organization skills, credibility, flexibility, ability to take initiative and to work under pressure, excellent multitasking
Additionally required skills:
• previous experience in working abroad
• ability to design and understand budgets
• good command of other foreign languages
