Our little farmers of the Transit Accommodation Facility for Unaccompanied Minors in Samos reaped the first fruits of their efforts.
The children, after a thorough inspection of their production, decided that it was finally time to taste their first vegetables. With great care they uprooted them from the pots to see with excitement the most beautiful tiny carrots! After the harvest, it was the time to taste them, to check if the methods of growing and caring for their vegetables had the desired results.
With “surgical” precision they pealed their carrots and cut them into tiny pieces so that everyone could have a taste. And their production may not have been that big, but they unanimously decided that they were the most delicious carrots they had ever tasted!
