More must be done to help women and girl refugees and migrants
From female genital mutilation and forced marriage to human trafficking and rape, women and girls are the “most vulnerable” among the migrants and refugees, says José Rui Velez Caroço, Executive Director of the Council of Europe’s North-South Centre, which organized the conference in cooperation with the Greek NGO METAdrasi-Action for Migration and Development.

Two days dedicated to exchanging views, reflections and proposals on refugee and migrant women & girls, at the Conference organised by the North-South Center of the Council of Europe on 3-4 October, in cooperation with the European Public Law Organisation and METAdrasi, with the support of the Portuguese Government.
