On the occasion of the World Children’s Rights Day, 15 students from METAdrasi’s educational activity “Step2School”, aged 14-18, visited the Benaki Toy Museum, in order to participate in interactive activities.

The children played traditional and other games and created together crafts with collage and drawing. The museum’s staff guided them in the exhibition rooms that host collections of dolls and other games from all over the world. Our students had a lot of fun spotting similarities and differences with games of their home countries.

“We played the same game in Pakistan!” said Hamza enthusiastically, whilst Ashra showed to the rest of the children how she used to play a game back in Syria.

Warm thanks to Benaki Toy Museum for their kind invitation as well as for the special experience they offered to our children.

“Step2School” activity is implemented with the support of European Commission’s Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid Operations department (ECHO) and in the framework of the “Open Schools” project of the Municipality of Athens, which operates with Stavros Niarchos Foundation as founding donor, with the coordination of Athens Partnership and John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation as activities supporter.
