Visiting the “Center of the Earth”

19.10.2021

The homeless children that are hosted in the Dormitory and are supported by METAdrasi’s Day Center, do not cease to surprise us with their willingness and enthusiasm to participate in any kind of educational activity. This time, they visited the “Center of the Earth” and attended the educational environmental activities it organizes, with the aim of developing children’s environmental and social awareness.

With great interest the children participated in the activities, learned about the way in which a plant grows through photosynthesis, about the parts of which it is made up and finally, proceeded with the practice, taking part in the process of planting and cultivating plants. Specifically, they planted rocket and beetroot. Now, every so often they ask us how their plants are doing and if they are growing!
