On the 3-4 & 10-11 of December, METAdrasi organized two workshops on “Provision of Interpretation Services in Hospitality Centres and Reception and Identification Centres on the Borders and Mainland Greece”.
At the workshops participated a total of 134 Interpreters and Local Coordinators of METAdrasi who operate throughout the Greek territory, from Lesvos, Chios, Samos, Leros and Kos to Northern Greece and Athens.
As noted by the participants, the workshops were a “unique opportunity for everyone from all points to get together, get to know each other better” and talk openly about “opinions, ideas and diverse issues that arise daily in our workplace, ways of dealing with them” and “elements that help us function best as a team in the field.” There was “great interest and interactivity,” “positive energy,” “friendly atmosphere and team spirit,” “substantial interventions that reminded us a lot of useful things concerning our role as interpreters in these fields”!
Thank you all for your meaningful participation, the pleasant atmosphere and the full of “experiences, images and smiles» workshops!
The workshop was funded by UNHCR – United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
