In 2015 the number of people displaced reached 60 million for the first time since World War II. Just six years later, this number almost doubled to more than 100 million. This is a worryingly rapid increase in displaced people worldwide due to wars, conflicts and persecution of all kinds. 60% of them are women and children.
On the occasion of the World Refugee Day, let us consider that no one is uprooted from their home in search for “a better life”, but because they have no other choice! And let us think for a moment, how we would like others to treat us, if we were in their place.
