{"id":26011156,"date":"2017-04-11T17:30:05","date_gmt":"2017-04-11T14:30:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/racist-violence-recording-network\/"},"modified":"2025-01-07T00:17:43","modified_gmt":"2025-01-06T22:17:43","slug":"racist-violence-recording-network","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/en\/racist-violence-recording-network\/","title":{"rendered":"\u200bThe Racist Violence Recording Network: Annual Report 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u200b<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rvrn.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6811 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/metadrasi.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Rvrn.jpg\" alt=\"Metadrasi -\" width=\"300\" height=\"134\" title=\"Metadrasi -\">The Racist Violence Recording Network<\/a><\/span>\u00a0is a collaboration of\u00a037 organizations and authorities with the aim of systematicaly recording violent acts\u00a0with racist\u00a0motive, so as to\u00a0<\/strong><strong>analyze the quantitative and qualitative findings of racist violence and hate crime in Greece.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>METAdrasi, active member of the Network since its establishment\u00a0in 2011, participates by\u00a0recording incidents of violence, most of which towards\u00a0unaccompanied minors.<\/p>\n<p>In the recent report of the Network, among others, there is a concern for the frequent appearance of groups that run in the background, taking advantage of the general feeling of insecurity and frustration of citizens and\u00a0inciting violence at every opportunity. A\u00a0rising of\u00a0incidents of verbal violence\u00a0and destruction of legal documents of the victims was\u00a0also observed during 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Particularly distressing is the fact that in cases of violent incidents there were witnesses who did not react.
