{"id":26020035,"date":"2018-02-16T16:03:43","date_gmt":"2018-02-16T14:03:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/ngo-of-the-year\/"},"modified":"2025-07-31T16:15:43","modified_gmt":"2025-07-31T13:15:43","slug":"ngo-of-the-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/en\/ngo-of-the-year\/","title":{"rendered":"METAdrasi \u201cNGO of the year\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Thursday 15<sup>th<\/sup> of February, METAdrasi was honoured with the \u201c<strong>NGO of the year<\/strong>\u201d award, during the ceremony for the \u201cHellenic Responsible Business Awards 2018\u201d, which took place at the Hellenic Motor Museum.<\/p>\n<p>According to the event\u2019s organizer,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.marketingweek.gr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Marketing Week<\/a>\u00a0magazine, by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.boussiasconferences.gr\/default.asp?la=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Boussias Communications<\/a>, the candidates\u2019 selection and evaluation criteria for this award were the proven innovative work, with a strong social impact, as well as the continuous commitment and efficiency, with measurable results.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/metadrasi.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/hellenicrespawar_2.gif\" alt=\"Metadrasi -\" title=\"Metadrasi -\">On behalf of METAdrasi, the award was received by Mr. Marcos Komondouros, member of the BoD, who stated that \u201cit is very touching for us to see our daily efforts all over Greece recognized\u201d and stressed that, unfortunately, good will and soul are not sufficient, it is indispensable to have professionalism, organisation and proper staffing, in order to offer substantial social work.<\/p>\n<p>METAdrasi is a Greek NGO, founded in 2010, that focuses on <strong>covering long-standing gaps<\/strong> in the reception and integration of refugees and migrants in Greece.
