Music brought together children that participate in METAdrasi\u2019s educational project Step2School. They sang together, taking part in the World Music concert that was held in Athens Conservatoire, last Tuesday, 15th of May.<\/p>\n
\u201cEach time our children take part in events and interact with other children, we feel like having a small victory\u201d, told us Nicoletta, a member of Step2School\u2019s team.<\/p>\n
METAdrasi\u2019s students participation in World Voice, along with other refugee and migrant children, created a highly emotional atmosphere, since the children took us on a journey to the music of the world, singing in Greek, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and other languages. The children of our educational activity sang, among others, a traditional Greek song, as well as a song they composed all together, entitled \u201cDon\u2019t call me stranger\u201d(video).<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is very touching to hear these children singing in Greek and express themselves in a language that they are striving to learn\u201d, adds Nikoletta.<\/p>\n
We would like to thank the British Council<\/a> that, in collaboration with UNICEF<\/a>, organized this event and offered an unforgettable experience to the children.<\/p>\n METAdrasi’s educational activity Step2School is being implemented within the framework of the \u201cOpen Schools<\/a>\u201d programme of the Municipality of Athens<\/a> and is supported by the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO)<\/a>.<\/p>\n
