{"id":26023368,"date":"2018-06-20T07:47:13","date_gmt":"2018-06-20T04:47:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/4th-training-seminar\/"},"modified":"2025-01-08T15:28:23","modified_gmt":"2025-01-08T13:28:23","slug":"4th-training-seminar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/en\/4th-training-seminar\/","title":{"rendered":"Steps towards integration: successful completion of the 4th Stepping Stone Training Seminar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><div class=\"custom-slick-slider\"><div class=\"slider-item\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/stepping_stone_metadrasi_1.jpg\" alt=\"Metadrasi -\" title=\"Metadrasi -\"><\/div><div class=\"slider-item\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/stepping_stone_metadrasi_2.jpg\" alt=\"Metadrasi -\" title=\"Metadrasi -\"><\/div><\/div><a href=\"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/en\/campaigns\/stepping-stone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">METAdrasi\u2019s Stepping Stone programme<\/a> aims to facilitate refugees\u2019 and migrants\u2019 integration, through educational activities and paid internships.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, 17 beneficiaries, from 8 countries, most of them living in refugee camps, completed the \u201cStepping Stone\u201d seminar.<\/p>\n<p>METAdrasi\u2019s Stepping Stone programme includes educational activities (intensive greek language courses, english and computer courses), counselling and support on legal issues related to employment, as well as technical and professional training (for example, sewing seminars). After the completion of the programme, a one-week training seminar takes place, with the aim to reinforce the participants\u2019 social skills and to offer them guidance related to work ethics and CV preparation.<\/p>\n<p>Through a business network that supports the Stepping Stone activity, METAdrasi helps refugees to find a job through paid internships of three to six months duration.<\/p>\n<p>In the first 10 months of the Stepping Stone project, 90 beneficiaries have participated.
