{"id":26029300,"date":"2018-10-18T07:30:01","date_gmt":"2018-10-18T04:30:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/activities-supported-by-echo\/"},"modified":"2025-01-08T15:26:27","modified_gmt":"2025-01-08T13:26:27","slug":"activities-supported-by-echo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/en\/activities-supported-by-echo\/","title":{"rendered":"Provision of interpretation, protection and educational services to refugees and asylum seekers in Greece"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><div class=\"custom-slick-slider\"><div class=\"slider-item\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/echo_metadrasi_b-752x450.png\" alt=\"Metadrasi -\" title=\"Metadrasi -\"><\/div><div class=\"slider-item\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/echo_metadrasi_a-752x450.png\" alt=\"Metadrasi -\" title=\"Metadrasi -\"><\/div><\/div>&#8220;Provision of interpretation, protection and educational services to refugees and asylum seekers in Greece&#8221; by METAdrasi, with the support of <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/echo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">European Commission\u2019s Civil Protection &amp; Humanitarian Aid Operations department &#8211; (ECHO)<\/a>.<br \/>\nSince March 2018, three activities have been supported substantially:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/en\/campaigns\/interpretation-healthcare-services\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Interpretation in Healthcare<\/a><br \/>\nProvision of interpretation with presence on a regular basis, covering emergency cases through interpreters\u2019 presence or through phone. Since the beginning of the programme, 9,389 individuals have benefited in 33 hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/en\/campaigns\/step2school-education-programme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Educational activity \u201cStep2School\u201d<\/a><br \/>\nProvision of remedial education to 762 children in Athens and preparation of their integration into formal education. 80% of these students have already subscribed to school.
