{"id":26029546,"date":"2018-10-22T10:12:38","date_gmt":"2018-10-22T07:12:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/integration-into-formal-education\/"},"modified":"2025-01-08T15:26:19","modified_gmt":"2025-01-08T13:26:19","slug":"integration-into-formal-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/en\/integration-into-formal-education\/","title":{"rendered":"METAdrasi supports dozens of children in Lesvos and Chios with their integration into formal schools"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><div class=\"custom-slick-slider\"><div class=\"slider-item\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/refugee_education_metadrasi_b.png\" alt=\"Metadrasi -\" title=\"Metadrasi -\"><\/div><div class=\"slider-item\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/refugee_education_metadrasi_a.png\" alt=\"Metadrasi -\" title=\"Metadrasi -\"><\/div><div class=\"slider-item\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/refugee_education_metadrasi_c.png\" alt=\"Metadrasi -\" title=\"Metadrasi -\"><\/div><\/div>With the beginning of the new school year, nearly one hundred of METAdrasi\u2019s students in Lesvos and in Chios were integrated into the Reception Structures for Refugee Education (DYEP) of the Greek Ministry of Education.<\/p>\n<p>This integration has been achieved following our co-operation with the Ministry\u2019s Refugee Education Coordinators (REC): METAdrasi informed RECs about the academic profile of each student and provided interpretation services in order to facilitate the process of issuing student\u2019s personal health booklets.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, METAdrasi added homework support classes for children who attend DYEP.
