She is on her 9th month of pregnancy and is facing difficulties that require constant monitoring by an obstetrician. Samir, from Lebanon, is diabetic and needs his medication to be adjusted at regular intervals. Zayn has had his face severely wounded by fragments of a bomb that exploded next to his home, in Aleppo, Syria. At the moment, he is in a hospital in Athens, in order to be subjected to a crucial eye surgery.<\/p>\n<p>These are some of the thousands of people that have benefited by METAdrasi\u2019s activity \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/en\/campaigns\/interpretation-healthcare-services\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Provision of Interpretation to Healthcare Services<\/a>\u201d, that facilitates the vital communication among health professionals and refugee and migrant patients.<\/p>\n<p>Within the framework of this activity, since March 2018, more than 20,000 interpretation sessions have been realized, in 27 languages and dialects (such as Arabic, Farsi, Urdu, Punjabi, Kurmantzi, Sorani etc.), in 50 hospitals throughout Greece, with the valuable support of <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/echo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">European Commission\u2019s Civil Protection &amp; Humanitarian Aid Operations department (ECHO)<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/en\/bridging-gaps-of-communication\">Sana from Iraq, arrived a few weeks ago in Greece.
