The children agreed and prepared themselves with great enthusiasm: With our help they created cards in Greek, French, Farsi and Arabic and under the guidance of the shelter\u2019s cook they prepared rice puddings for the 90 guests of the retirement home. Their welcome was just as warm! They offered us juice and chocolate and guided us around. They gave us their blessing and talked about their lives. We were all moved by Ms Kaiti, a 100-year-old lady, speaking 7 languages, who welcomed us by saying \u201cI love you\u201d.
