ATHENS<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Sport activities in the Olympic Athletic Center of Athens\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Olympic Athletic Center of Athens got filled with children voices participating in various sport activities. In total, more than 300 children of the 4th<\/sup> High School of Athens, the 1st<\/sup> Experimental School of Plaka and various accommodation facilities participated in the three events.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

At the Panathenaic Stadium<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Three visits took place at the emblematic Panathenaic Stadium. More than 300 students from the Intercultural Primary School of Faliro and the 132nd Primary School of Grava had the opportunity to learn the history of \u201cKallimarmaro\u201d and of course, practice various sports in the space of the famous stadium.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n

A visit to the Athens Olympic Museum<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

One more visit to the Olympic Museum, took place with the participation of children residing in accommodation facilities and Supported Independent Living Apartments. As in every previous visit, we show the children being thrilled with the various sections of the museum and showing real interest about the history of the Olympic Games.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n

KAVALA<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Basketball in the sportlight<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Basketball was in the spotlight for children residing in accommodation facilities in Kavala. First the children had a basketball practice where the discovered the sport\u2019s secrets and then, after a couple of days they had the opportunity to watch a basketball match!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

Handball practice in the city of Drama<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In\u00a0Drama<\/strong>, girls and boys, from 4 to 12 years old, participated in a handball practice. For some of the children it was their first contact with this sport. Running, flexibility of movement, speed, fast thinking, teamwork and cooperation with the other children: everyone was thrilled with this special practice.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

IOANNINA<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Visit to the Perama Cave<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Students of the 9th Intercultural Elementary School of Ioannina had the opportunity to admire the work of nature through their visit to the wonderful Perama Cave. The children learned about the rare paleontological findings and then had a tour to the cave enjoying a unique experience.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

Wrestling practice<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Students of the 9th Intercultural Elementary School actively participated in an interactive wrestling demonstration that took place at Athletic Club SPARTACUS. Under the supervision of the coaches of the club, the children experimented with grappling holds and pin techniques and workouts that combined gymnastics with fun.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n
