{"id":26099734,"date":"2024-12-27T15:49:00","date_gmt":"2024-12-27T13:49:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/a-day-at-the-national-archaeological-museum-of-athens-for-unaccompanied-children\/"},"modified":"2025-07-31T14:00:14","modified_gmt":"2025-07-31T11:00:14","slug":"a-day-at-the-national-archaeological-museum-of-athens-for-unaccompanied-children","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/metadrasi.org\/en\/a-day-at-the-national-archaeological-museum-of-athens-for-unaccompanied-children\/","title":{"rendered":"A day at the National Archaeological Museum of Athens for unaccompanied children"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A day at the National Archaeological Museum of Athens for unaccompanied children living in METAdrasi\u2019s Semi-Autonomous Living Apartments: six unaccompanied teenagers, aged 16 to 18, took a \u201cjourney\u201d in space and time.<\/p>\n<p>The young refugees were guided through the displays of the largest museum in Greece, following step by step the history of the ancient Greek civilization, from the beginning of prehistory to the late antiquity.<\/p>\n<p>The young refugees\u2019 questions and interest in ancient Greek civilization exceeded all expectations, and more similar educational activities are planned.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-background\" \/>\n<p>METAdrasi launched in 2018 the pilot activity of semi-autonomous living for unaccompanied minors aged 16 to 18, aiming at their smooth transition to adulthood and their integration into the Greek society.
