Job Title: Fundraising – Programme Manager

METAdrasi is an award-winning Humanitarian Organization that aims to fill critical gaps in the reception and integration of refugees and migrants in Greece. Since its establishment in 2010, METAdrasi has developed pioneering activities, which focus on the following areas: interpretation, protection of unaccompanied minors, support of vulnerable groups, legal representation, education and integration.
METAdrasi is looking for an executive for the Programme Management and Fundraising team. The position is addressed to an experienced Programme Manager, who will be responsible for the coordination and supervision of programmes implemented by METAdrasi within its activity sectors, as well as the formulation and implementation of the Organization’s fundraising strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordination, management and monitoring of the programmes in collaboration with the project managers of each activity
- Drafting proposals for funding existing and new activities from European funds, foundations and other donors
- Representing the Organization, its activities, challenges, principles and philosophy, both in Greece and abroad.
- Coordination, support and guidance of the project managers, with the aim of rational management of funding and monitoring of its absorption
- Coordinating the preparation of physical and financial progress reports
- Monitoring the implementation of activities, drafting high-quality progress and final reports
- Liaising with donors and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and coordination
- Resolving any issues that may arise during project implementation and planning corrective measures
- Researching and identifying potential donors and ability to guide them towards meeting essential needs
Required Qualifications:
- University degree
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- At least 5 years of previous experience in an NGO, foundation, or non-profit organization
- Experience in drafting and submitting funding proposals in Greek and in English
- Experience in drafting reports
- Excellent command of Greek and English at a native level (spoken and written), with the ability to draft complex technical texts
- Strong communication skills, fluency and presentation skills in English and Greek
- Ability to develop and maintain interpersonal relationships in a multicultural environment
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and internet use
- Crisis/emergency management skills
- Team spirit, flexibility, and creativity
- Ability to plan a fundraising strategy
Additional Assets:
- Previous work experience outside Greece
- Ability to understand and draft budgets
