Job Title: Procurement Officer
Place of employment: Athens

METAdrasi is an award-winning Humanitarian Organization that aims to fill critical gaps in the reception and integration of refugees and migrants in Greece. Since its establishment in 2010, METAdrasi has developed pioneering activities, which focus on the following areas: interpretation, protection of unaccompanied minors, support of vulnerable groups, legal representation, education and integration.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of purchase requests (PRs)
  • Conducting award procedures in accordance with the Procurement Regulation of the Organization, conducting the procedures provided for by the law. 4412/2014 (as amended and in force) for eligible costs of goods and services
  • Preparation and posting of the documents related to the procurement procedures in the electronic publication systems
  • Conducting calls for tenders
  • Support in the conduct of tenders for procurement
  • Monthly checking of the Purchase Request Tracking Sheet (PRTS) for pending invoices and documents
  • Evaluation of financial offers based on predefined criteria of quality, cost and delivery time, as well as the necessary supporting documentation for participation
  • Research for new providers and listing in providers contacts
  • Sending urgent payments to the accounting department on a weekly basis
  • Marking all physical invoices and sending them to the accounting department
  • Contact with accounting department for tracking payments
  • Entry of invoices in PRTS and all PR documentation in electronic and physical file
  • Support in the supplier evaluation process
  • Preparation of documentation for audit

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration or related field
  • At least 2 years’ experience in the relevant field
  • Excellent knowledge of English
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Familiarity with ERP system desirable
  • Negotiating skills
  • Ability to understand budgets and financing
  • Be organisational and understand both the market and the activity of the organisation
  • Ability to work quickly, autonomously and with attention to detail and quality

 

Additional Assets:

  • Postgraduate studies or related postgraduate training
  • Experience of working in positions requiring contact with migrant, refugee populations and vulnerable groups in general
