METAdrasi supported the annual international campaign “16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence” by organizing various initiatives for its minor and adult students in the camps and its educational centers across Greece. The 16 days of activism kicked off on the 25 of November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and ran until 10 December, Human Rights Day.
The activities included informative sessions led by healthcare professionals addressing reproductive and sexual health issues, complemented by other projects such as the screening of the film “Desert Flower” in collaboration with UNHCR. Recognizing the importance of breaking the cycle of silence, METAdrasi’s students delivered a powerful theatrical performance, full of emotion and passion, enabling empowerment, reflection, and the sharing of personal experiences.
In addition to these impactful performances, METAdrasi organized engaging workshops that provided participants with the opportunity to explore the boundaries of their personal space, fostering self-awareness while helping individuals recognize and prevent transgressive behaviors.
