Call for the collection of humanitarian material

The need for immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to refugee camps remains urgent.

In particular, we aim at collecting the following items, at the respective indicative quantities:

– Blankets (500 pcs)
– Sleeping bags (500 pcs)
– Men’s & Women’s Trousers (1,400 pcs)
– Tops & Sweaters (2,300-2,800 pcs)
– Jackets (1,300 pcs)
– Socks (1,300 pcs)
– Diapers number 5 & 6 (300 boxes)
– Towels (500 pcs)
– Shampoo & Soaps (1,400 pcs)

You are kindly asked NOT to bring items other than the ones listed above.

The collection of the items takes place from Monday to Friday, 11:00-17:00, at METAdrasi’s premises in Tavros (metro station “Kallithea”), 7, 25 Martiou Street, 1st floor.

METAdrasi’s team members, activated all over Greece, are constantly recording the shortages and make sure that the items collected will be distributed to the people in need. Since early September, METAdrasi has carried out eight shipments of humanitarian aid: two to Lesvos (91 boxes), two to Chios (79 boxes), two to Samos (76 boxes), one to Kos (43 boxes) and one to Leros (10 boxes).

The transportation of the humanitarian material from the port of Piraeus to the islands is carried out by Blue Star Ferries and Hellenic Seaways, courtesy of Attica Group, while the transportation to Orestiada will be sponsored by a private donor.
