Metadrasi - METAdrasi samos shelter school

The unaccompanied children of the Transit Accommodation Facilities in Chios and Samos anxiously awaited their return to school on Monday, January 11, 2021.

Being away from school, from their teachers and friends for so long, had begun to bother our children as distance learning took away all the wonderful things they did with their classmate, especially during the breaks…

The anxiety and anticipation for the return were the same as during their first day of school. Voices, laughter, and games accompanied the reunion with their loved ones whom they had missed so much. As for the classes, the children found them more interesting and easier to understand now that they could meet their teachers in person.

METAdrasi’s Transit Accommodation Facilities in Chios and Samos are funded since June 2020 by EEA Grants in the framework of the Asylum and Migration programme.

Funded by EEA and Norway Grants
