30 missions of humanitarian material – 1,200 boxes

Within a year characterized by the difficult conditions created by the pandemic, METAdrasi carried out a total of 30 missions of humanitarian material mainly in Lesvos, Samos, Chios, Kos and Orestiada.

A total of 1,200 boxes of blankets, sleeping bags, clothes, shoes, personal hygiene items, educational material and other necessary items have been distributed to children and vulnerable groups.

We thank Mrs. Ioanna for knitting scarves and caps for the children. Anastasia and her friends who filled a whole car with blankets and clothes. The amazing team of Santorini, an island that has no refugee arrivals and yet moves us with the material they have been sending us on a regular basis in the recent years. The students of Rutgers University who collected items and sent them to us from the USA. The “Sarasota Friends of Chios Refugees” action group for covering the cost for shoes for all the unaccompanied children in Chios. The company Mega Disposables SA that stands by our side providing personal hygiene supplies.

We thank our tireless volunteers.
We thank each and every one of the dozens of individuals, schools, universities, clubs, civil society organizations and companies that responded to our calls for collecting humanitarian material.

Thank you for always being by our side and supporting our work!
