On the occasion of the Thessaloniki Photobiennale exhibition, METAdrasi’s Homework and Creative Activities Centre organized an educational visit for its students aged 15-18.
With a focus on photojournalism, historical and documentary photography, documenting contemporary social conditions, the photographic lens conveyed the social messages of the artists through their diverse perspectives, in a captivating universe of images and emotions.
A first introduction to this wonderful world of photography had already been made in the classroom. Thus, the visit to the exhibition that followed, allowed the students to experience the values and expressiveness of art.
Guided by an instructor and through subsequent discussions, the experience became even more enriching. Students realized the profound impact one can achieve with just one “click,” capturing the “decisive moment.”
Since September 2021, METAdrasi’s educational activities for minors are part of the programme “All Children in Education”, a UNICEF Greece initiative in collaboration with the Ministry of Migration and Asylum, co-funded by the European Union and implemented in collaboration with a number of partners, including METAdrasi.
