METAdrasi, in collaboration with the Experimental Primary School of Intercultural Education of Thessaloniki, is implementing a new educational initiative that aims to provide Greek language lessons to adult and child refugees and migrants. At the same time, a job counseling program will be offered to adult refugees and migrants.
The lessons and counseling sessions will take place on the premises of the Experimental Primary School of Intercultural Education of Thessaloniki, following the relevant approval of the Municipality of Thessaloniki. The program is addressed both to primary and lower secondary school students from vulnerable social groups and to individuals from the wider area, with the goal of supporting smooth integration into formal education, the labor market, and, more broadly, the local community.
The initiative is part of METAdrasi’s wider work in the field of refugee and migrant education and integration, with an emphasis on equal access to learning and strengthening employability. At the same time, the collaboration with the Intercultural School of Thessaloniki strengthens the link between the school community and local society.
Through this initiative, the aim is to provide meaningful support to children, adolescents, and adults by offering the language skills they need for everyday communication, educational progress, and active participation in social life.
The Greek language lessons and job counseling services are provided free of charge and will take place every Monday and Friday, 16:00–20:00.
Those interested can learn more about the program and register by contacting METAdrasi at [email protected] or by visiting the Intercultural Education Primary School of Thessaloniki in person (6 Kapatou & Galanaki St., Postal Code 546 29), every Monday and Friday, 16:00–20:00.
