Athens “European Capital of Innovation 2018”

Athens “European Capital of Innovation 2018”:
We are very glad that our city worthily won such an important distinction of the European Commission!

Warmest congratulations to the team of the Athens Municipality, but also to every entity, organisation, institution, company and active citizen who supported this collective effort, turning Athens into an example for other European cities.

METAdrasi’s team, always aiming at the implementation of innovative initiatives, has found in the Athens Municipality a valuable partner: through synAthina, the “Open Schools” programme, the Athens Coordination Center for Migrant and Refugee issues (ACCMR), we were given the opportunity to educate hundreds of children and to actively participate to the common vision for an efficient co-ordination in the provision of services to refugees. As stated by the Athens mayor, Giorgos Kaminis: “Innovation is culture and it allows us to do much more with a less”.
