“We are no longer invisible”
“We have been given a voice”

These were the words of the women staying in the Ritsona facility, who participated in the event on gender-based violence that was organized by METAdrasi in cooperation with the psychosocial team of SAMS Hellas.

The event was focused on the creation of a safe space, where women had the opportunity to talk openly about gender stereotypes, to recognize the various forms of gender violence, but also to share personal experiences, useful information and good practices.

The women’s participation was moving; they expressed their views and experiences, proving that their need to be heard is immense. The way they thanked us for this initiative was deeply moving and reminded us how important it is to continue to give them such opportunities.

Our discussion concluded with the view that all women have great strength within them and that united they can achieve anything.
