“Half boy – Half girl”

25.07.2023

What could be more imaginative, than to present the complementarity of both sexes in one drawing?

In the course of their lesson on how the different body parts are named, our young students, all boys, 6-12 years of age, proposed in a unique and sincere way to draw a…”half boy-half girl,” where each gender would have its own side: long hair and red nails on one side for the girl, short hair and a pair of pants on the other side for the boy.

“We don’t have to choose! We did both. It’s our half boy – half girl!” they cheered, showing off their work with joy.

All students are encouraged to express their spontaneity, ideas, feelings and creativity through interactive processes at METAdrasi’s Homework and Creative Activities Centre in Athens, which operates within the framework of the programme “All Children In Education”, a UNICEF Greece initiative, co-funded by the European Union and implemented by a number of partners, including METAdrasi.
