A two-day workshop on vine cultivation and wine production was organized in cooperation with Grape Evolution LTD in the framework of the “Stepping Stone” job counselling programme for METAdrasi’s beneficiaries in Samos.
Taking into account the studies and previous experience of the 14 refugees who participated, the workshop offered hands-on sessions and training, along with useful information and knowledge about wine varieties, ways of cultivation and harvesting, grapevine diseases, as well as regarding professional perspectives in wine production, both in Greece and abroad.
The training was very informative as it opened up many very relevant topics for the participants. Grape Evolution also expressed their appreciation for this initiative, their genuine interest in continuing its cooperation with METAdrasi, along with the possibility of employing people participating in this programme.
