A recreational, sporting and cultural activity that they have been waiting for a long time was carried out by unaccompanied teenagers living in METAdrasi’s Semi-Autonomous Living apartments in Athens.
The children get to know the most creative corners of the city, mix with the local population, practice the Greek language and adapt to a new way of life.
Visits like this one in the pleasant environment of the Stavros Niarchos Park help them significantly in this effort.
METAdrasi launched in 2018 the pilot activity of semi-autonomous living for unaccompanied minors aged 16 to 18, aiming at their smooth transition to adulthood and their integration into the Greek society. From June 2024 the activity “Supervised Semi-Autonomous Living Apartments” is funded by the “Programme Greece – Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund 2021-2027”, co-funded by the European Union.
