METAdrasi had the pleasure to welcome representatives of the Organisations Programma Integra, Fluchlingsrat Niedersaschen, For Our Children and Children and Families Across Borders, in the framework of the meetings organized by Family For Every Child for the exchange of good practices and challenges faced by Civil Society Organisations specializing in the protection of refugee children.
During the meetings held in Athens and Chios, we presented in detail, among other things, the pioneering protection network for unaccompanied children, which includes the activities: Guardianship, Escorting missions, Transit Accommodation Facilities, Foster Care, Supported Independent Living, with an emphasis on the integration of young refugees through the Education and Stepping Stone, Together in Sport, and 18+ programmes.
Through constructive discussions, we learned about the work of each organisation and the challenges and specific conditions in other European countries and exchanged good practices and reflections, with the aim of strengthening the protection programmes for refugee children.
