Metadrasi - refugee day metadrasi

On the occasion of the World Refugee Day, the children living in METAdrasi’s Accommodation Facility for Unaccompanied Minors in Chios will talk about their experiences, expectations and dreams for the future, as part of the event that will take place in Chios, at the Mastic Museum, on Saturday, June the 23rd, at 13:30.

The event coordinator, historian Michalis Varlas, will refer to the history of Chios, where he comes from, an island that has welcomed refugees from Asia Minor, but also from where Greeks have left as refugees during WWII.

A discussion will follow among the children and the participants, with simultaneous interpretation in Greek.
Free admission.

Event organisation: Chios Regional Asylum Office, Chios Reception and Identification Centre, UNHCR and METAdrasi.

METAdrasi’s Accommodation Facility for Unaccompanied Minors in Chios is supported by Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
