“Step2School – Support Class”: METAdrasi’s educational activity for refugee and migrant children, as well as the kids in the neighbourhood, is carried on

Metadrasi - Step2School

After successfully completing the summer educational programme “Step2School”, in cooperation with the “Open Schools” project of the Municipality of Athens, with the participation of more than 350 children, METAdrasi proceeds with the implementation of “Step2School – Support Class”. It is a non formal education programme, addressed to minors 6 to 18 years-old that live in temporary hosting facilities, accommodation facilities for unaccompanied minors and apartments, but it also welcomes the children in the neighborhood.

The action aims to offer support classes and establish a safe framework of support for the integration of refugee and migrant children. With a focus on Greek language learning, the students will be studying their school lessons, with the support of the experienced educational team of METAdrasi.

“Step2School – Support Class” takes place within the framework of the “Open Schools” programme of the Municipality of Athens in various neighbourhoods throughout the city.

Enrollment for the support classes takes place at the schools where the programme will be realised, from 2/10/2017 to 6/10/2017, from 4 to 7 pm.

Additionally, Farsi and Arabic lessons will be offered to children and adults, as well as fast-learning lessons in Greek, English, German, and Computers for minors aged of 16 to 18.

Enrollment for the Farsi and Arabic lessons, as well as for the lessons for the 16-18 year-old takes place at METAdrasi’s offices in Tavros, 7, 25 Martiou street, 1st floor, “Kallithea” train station, from 12 o’clock to 3 pm.
