The opening ceremony of the Olympic Games almost coincided with the first training of unaccompanied minors in the Olympic sport of beach volley, at the Beach Volley Academy in the area of Renti!
The minors were overjoyed to have access to organized athletic facilities and absolutely thrilled to train with an excellent coach who praised them for their efforts.
The future champions emerge through sport activities. Many unaccompanied minors have already excelled in high-level competitions, in various sports. But the most important thing is the shaping of their character and the consolidation of sport values that strengthens the bonds between people. People in sports are distinguished for their physical and mental abilities, their hard work, their perseverance and dedication to their goal, regardless of their color, origin, nationality or gender.
This is the spirit that embodies the project “Together in Sport”, implemented by METAdrasi in cooperation with the Hellenic Olympic Committee, the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) and the participation of municipalities all over Greece.
Minors aged 13-17 can be enrolled in Beach Volley lessons and soon trainings in other sports will begin in municipalities throughout Greece. It is estimated that thousands of children will benefit from this project.
