The creation of a new, outdoor and fully equipped gym park became a reality in Katsikas, Ioannina in the framework the European pilot project Together in Sport.
“I am very happy that through this project, as well as through the excellent cooperation with the Municipality of Ioannina, this gym park was created for the local population. And I hope it will become a point that will bring together and unite the refugee children with the children of the city of Ioannina”, said Lora Pappa, during the signing of the memorandum of understanding among the Mayor of Ioannina, METΑdrasi and the Hellenic Olympic Committee.
“Together in Sport”, initiated and co-funded by the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees, is implemented by METAdrasi in cooperation with the Hellenic Olympic Committee, the German Olympic Sports Confederation and the participation of municipalities all over Greece. The project is co-funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF).
