A day full of sports, culture, and togetherness in Schimatari!
140 children and young people from the Oinofyta refugee camp and the local community came together to enjoy:
🔴 8 Olympic sports — table tennis, basketball, fencing, judo, wrestling, laser run, handball & kickboxing
🔵 2 cultural activities — theatrical play & modern dance
It was a wonderful celebration of inclusion, teamwork, and creativity, organized in the beginning of summer by METAdrasi and the Hellenic Olympic Committee, in collaboration with the Municipality of Tanagra, as part of Refugee Week Greece.

“Together in Sport-Phase II”, which is implemented with METAdrasi as coordinator and in cooperation with the Hellenic Olympic Committee and with the support of the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB), aims at the participation of more than 10,000 children and young people up to 21 years old, in sports and cultural activities for the period 2023-2026. The project is co-funded by the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) and the AMIF.
