More than 210 Guardianship Mandated Persons of Unaccompanied Minors, as well as more than 20 lawyers and coordinators, attended the 5 training seminars organized by METAdrasi in 2024.
Through presentations, case studies and experiential activities, the trainings thoroughly covered a wide range of topics, such as the role of the Guardianship Officer and the legal framework in Greece, the reception and asylum procedures for unaccompanied children, the institution of foster care for unaccompanied minors, the role of the Guardianship Officer and the best interest assessment and many more.
Presentations were made by METAdrasi’s representatives specialized in the protection of unaccompanied children, as well as by representatives of the First Reception and Identification Service, the Asylum Service, the General Secretariat for Vulnerable Persons & Institutional Protection, Praksis and UNICEF.
Since 01/11/2023 the activity is implemented by METAdrasi as the coordinating partner and PRAKSIS as a supporting partner, under the “National Guardianship System” with funding from the “Programme Greece – Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund 2021-2027”, co-financed by the European Union.
