Unaccompanied children of the Samos Accommodation Facility express themselves through painting

Following in the footsteps of pioneering 19th century painters who painted with their hands, such as William Turner and Judith Brown, children of the Transit Accommodation Facility for Unaccompanied Minors in Samos used all the colors of the rainbow to express with the power of this technique their own artistic side.

Under the guidance of the accommodation facility educator, the children learned about colors and how to mix them with various materials in order to create the shades and textures that will give the appropriate strength to their art pieces. With their imagination taking them to a different world, new colors and designs were revealed before the children’s eyes, allowing their soul to express their deepest feelings.

METAdrasi’s Transit Accommodation Facility in Samos is funded since June 2020 by EEA Grants in the framework of the Asylum and Migration programme.
