Metadrasi - METAdrasi Naser 1

After arriving in Athens as a young adult, Naser had nowhere to stay. He decided to look for help and eventually came in contact with METAdrasi where he joined the 18+ programme, a support programme for young adult refugees implemented by the Organisation with the support of UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency.

Today, Naser is making steps towards integration; he learns Greek and follows his dream. “Fleeing my country [Syria] was a difficult decision, but I wanted to find a peaceful place, where I could live safely and play football”.

Read Naser’s story, published by UNHCR here.

The 18+ programme is addressed to young refugee adults. The programme aspires to create a safe, intimate and warm environment for young adults, emphasizing their integration into the labour market, the development of their social network, the taking of initiatives and the strengthening of their sense of autonomy.
