Metadrasi - METAdrasi volunteer Marisa

Marisa, a volunteer in METAdrasi’s educational programme in Chios, talks about her experience.

I became a volunteer at METAdrasi because…I wanted to put in good use my creativity, to find motivation and inspiration both for my personal and professional life.

Being a part of METAdrasi’s activities gave me the opportunity to… get to know other peoples’ habits and their cultural elements.

The feelings I have experienced through volunteering are… fulfillment, a sense of purpose, but also of entertainment.

Volunteering is important to me because… it allows me to come into contact with cultures and civilizations that are different from my own, broadening in this way my view of the world.

Through volunteering we can all… help the people, contribute to the wider society, grow spiritually and improve ourselves,
