“My mission is to tell you the story and then you decide what you want to do. My mission is to make sure that nobody can say: ‘I didn’t know’.”
Yannis Behrakis, 1960-2019

METAdrasi’s team expresses deep sadness for the death of Yannis Behrakis, the unique photojournalist who stood out for his powerful images and exceptional ethics. His support towards our Organisation has always been kind and discreet. Through his work he illustrated pain, violence, but also hope, giving justice to his words: “An image can change the world, it can make more fair”.
