Τhe accommodation facilities for unaccompanied children in Chios and Samos are getting ready for Xmas

17.12.2021

While the Christmas clock is counting down, the accommodation facilities for unaccompanied children in Chios and Samos are getting ready for the approaching holidays.

Our little artists set up workshops to prepare the Christmas decorations: they started with the design and selection of materials and continued with the preparation of the workbenches and the beginning of the “production”. Wooden Christmas trees, magic vases with gold dust, colorful snowmen, stars and angels for the tree, charms, Christmas cards and paintings took shape in their hands and decorated every corner of the house.

Delicious smells of melomakarona, cookies and other traditional treats escaped from our kitchens, sending a Christmas scent all over the neighborhood and bringing many smiles to our children who cannot stop tasting the sweets they made!

We thank the children, who with their love and enthusiasm, brought us the festive atmosphere of Christmas.

METAdrasi’s Transit Accommodation Facilities in Chios and Samos are funded since June 2020 by EEA Grants in the framework of the Asylum and Migration programme.
