✔️ How is an unaccompanied child’s best interests assessed?
✔️ What is the role of a Guardianship Mandated Person and a Temporary Representative?
✔️ What steps lead from initial reception to access to asylum?
✔️ How does interpretation help support children?
✔️ How can Guardianship Mandated Persons manage stress?
These were some of the questions explored during METAdrasi’s 10th Training Seminar for Guardianship Mandated Persons and Temporary Representatives of Unaccompanied Minors.
Through presentations, interactive workshops and case studies, participants deepened their understanding of child protection, the legal framework governing guardianship, foster care and the pursuit of durable solutions for unaccompanied children.
The seminar brought together 44 Guardianship Mandated Persons and Temporary Representatives, attending both in person and online. Speakers included METAdrasi staff and representatives from the General Secretariat for Vulnerable Persons and Institutional Protection, the Reception and Identification Service, the Asylum Service, the Dublin Unit, and the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family.
Since November 1, 2023, the activity of Guardianship for Unaccompanied Minors in Greece, is being implemented with METAdrasi as the coordinating partner and Praksis as a partner, within the framework of the “National Guardianship System” with funding from the “Programme Greece – Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund 2021-2027”, co-financed by the European Union.
