Communicating the problems of unaccompanied children

Metadrasi - megaro maximou 1“2,000 unaccompanied children live in Greece in inappropriate conditions – in homelessness, camps and hotspots in the islands – due to lack of adequate accommodation facilities.”

This was the message communicated by a member of METAdrasi’s team, describing the enormous difficulties that Civil Society Organizations face in their effort to support the more than 3,800 unaccompanied children in our country. Claire Pavlaki visited the Megaron Maximou (the Presidential Mansion) on New Year’s Eve, at the kind invitation of the prime minister and his wife, in order to attend a special event for vulnerable social groups.
